Technical Education

One of the key areas GRAMOFOND focuses on is supporting technical education. GZ Media has long been committed to inspiring children and young people to take an interest in technical fields. As a manufacturing company with a rich tradition, we aim to build on our country’s industrial heritage and show that technology can be a modern, creative, and attractive path for a future career.

How it all began

In 2017, the pilot robotics club under the name Robotics Is Fun was launched at the Loděnice Elementary School. Its goal is to develop computational thinking and introduce technical fields in an engaging and hands on way. To support these clubs, GRAMOFOND provided a wide range of equipment — from fischertechnik and Merkur construction kits and Ozobot mini robots to tablets and advanced programmable robotics sets.

How it looks today

Under the guidance of trained instructors, children learn to build their own models, equip them with sensors and motors, and program their behaviour. The clubs have become a place where technology turns into play, discovery, and the joy of creating something of their own. The project has gradually expanded to other schools in the region, including Žebrák and Řevnice. In the 2025/26 school year, we also ran robotics clubs in cooperation with DDM Beroun, Domeček Hořovice, and DDM Tábor – Soběslav branch.

What is our goal

We work with elementary schools in our region and aim to ensure clear continuity in the project. That’s why we also seek cooperation with secondary schools, especially grammar schools and technical vocational schools. Our goal is to enable children to continue developing their technical skills even after completing elementary school and to make technical education a natural part of their further studies.

Support for the local community

The Local Community Support programme builds on the long history of our company, which has been operating in Loděnice near Beroun since 1951 and has long been the largest employer in the region. Entire families have worked — and still work — for “Gramofonka”, and it is not uncommon for people to spend their entire working lives here. For Loděnice, GZ Media is almost synonymous with the town itself, and over time it has also established a strong presence in Soběslav. It is therefore natural that one of GRAMOFOND’s main goals is to support life in the places where we operate — in Loděnice, Soběslav, and their surrounding areas.
