GZ and Sterling Sound Launch Master to Press 

After 10 years of cooperation, GZ and Sterling Sound are opening a new chapter in their partnership with Master to Press. The service brings together Sterling Sound’s audio mastering expertise, GZ’s Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) technology, and vinyl manufacturing in our North American pressing plants — connecting the journey from the mastered recording to the finished record. 

At its core is ARC-33, the new DMM cutting lathe developed by our team in Loděnice, Czech Republic, which will also be used by Sterling Sound’s engineers. For artists, labels, and rights holders, Master to Press offers a more streamlined production process, bringing mastering, cutting, and pressing together within one coordinated workflow. Sterling Sound President Murat Aktar and GZ Media CEO Michal Štěrba introduced the service at the Making Vinyl conference in the Netherlands on 1st October.
